Description: 

XHHW-2 conductors, featuring thermoset insulation, are primarily employed in conduit or other recognized raceways for services, feeders, and branch circuit wiring, as specified in the National Electrical Code (NEC). They are suitable for use in wet or dry locations. XHHW-2/RW90 conductors are rated for applications at 600 and 1,000 volts. Sizes 1/0 and larger may be utilized in cable trays, following the guidelines of the National Electrical Code. These cables successfully pass the IEEE 1202/CSA (70,000 BTU/hr) cable tray flame test.

Standards & Specifications:

UL 44 is applicable, with 1/0 and larger rated as VW-1. It allows for cable tray usage for 1/0 and larger conductors. It follows the guidelines of NEMA Publication No. WC70 and is resistant to Gasoline & Oil II. Additionally, it complies with IEEE 1202 and Canadian Standard C22.2 No. 38. The cable also adheres to ICEA 595-658 and is suitable for 90ºC in wet and dry locations. It can withstand -40ºC and is compliant with RoHS and REACH. Complies with ARRA 2009 Section 1605
