Application: 

Branch, feeder, and service power distribution are applicable in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings. The cable is designed for power, lighting, control, and signal circuits. It can be fished or embedded in plaster, and installations can be concealed or exposed. The cable is suitable for environmental air-handling spaces as per NEC 300.22(C). It is also approved for use in places of assembly according to NEC 518.4 and theaters as per NEC 520.5. Installation is permitted in cable tray and approved raceways. Additionally, it can be placed under raised floors for information technology equipment conductors and cables per NEC 645.5(D) and 645.5(D)(2). The cable is suitable for Class I Div. 2, Class II Div. 2, and Class III Div. 1 hazardous locations.

M/C Cable is made with soft-drawn copper conductors, specifically Type THHN/THWN, rated for 90°C in dry conditions. It comes in sizes ranging from 14 AWG to 2 AWG, and it includes a green insulated grounding conductor. The conductors are grouped together, and a binder tape with the print legend is wrapped around the assembly. Aluminum interlocking armor is then applied over the entire assembly.

M/C Cable meets or exceeds the requirements of various standards, including UL83, UL1569, UL1685, Federal Specification A-A59544 (formerly J-C-30B), FT4/IEEE1202 (70,000 Btu/hr) Vertical Cable Tray Flame Test, and NEC. Additionally, it is listed for use in UL 1, 2, and 3-hour through-penetration firestop systems.
