Type G is designed for heavy-duty applications, serving as a power supply cable for mobile and portable mining equipment, including loaders, conveyors, pumps, drills, and cutters. It is specifically engineered to provide flexibility in challenging environments. This cable is suitable for applications up to 2000 volts and can operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C.
construction:
Conductor: Stranded and flexible, this conductor is made of soft-drawn copper, available in both bare and tinned options, conforming to ASTM B172 Class I and ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58 standards.
Separator: A tape separator is placed between the conductor and insulation.
Insulation: Ethylene-Propylene Rubber (EPR) per ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58.
Color Code: Black, White, Red, Orange with Green Grounds
Ground Conductors: Flexible stranded, soft drawn bare or tinned copper with green ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) insulation
Assembling Tape: A single-faced rubber-filled binder tape is wrapped around the cable assembly.
Jacket: The black heavy-duty thermoset CPE compound, in accordance with ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58, exhibits resistance to ozone, sunlight, oil, grease, weather, and chemicals.
Standards:
UL 44, 1581, 1650, C(UL) FT1 & FT5, CSA C22.2 No. 96, ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58, ICEA S-95-658/NEMA WC 70, ASTM B33, B172 – these standards are applicable. The cable is oil-resistant and sunlight-resistant with a temperature range of 90°C in wet or dry conditions. It is rated and flexible within the range of -40ºC to +90°C. Additionally, it is designed to be sunlight-resistant.
