Type G-GC is designed for robust applications, serving as a power supply cable for mobile and portable mining equipment, including loaders, conveyors, pumps, drills, and cutters. It is suitable for scenarios demanding flexibility and features an internal ground check conductor for enhanced safety. Type G-GC is intended for use in applications up to 2000 volts, with a temperature range spanning from -40°C to +90°C.
construction:
Conductor: Soft, flexible, stranded bare or tinned copper, conforming to Class I as specified by ASTM B-33.
Separator: A tape separator is placed between the conductor and insulation.
Insulation: Ethylene-Propylene Rubber (EPR) per ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58.
Color Code: Black, White, Red, with Green Grounds and Yellow Ground Check
Ground Conductors: Flexible, soft-drawn, stranded bare or tinned copper with green ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) insulation.
Ground Check Conductor: Flexible, soft-drawn, stranded bare or tinned copper. Yellow polypropylene-insulated (EPR) insulation is applied over the conductor.
Assembly: The power, ground check, and ground cores are cabled together to form a round core. A single-faced rubber-filled binder tape is applied over the cable assembling.
Jacket: Black heavy-duty CPE thermosetting compound with integral filling.
Standards:
UL 44 and 1650, C(UL) FT1 & FT5, CSA C22.2 96-13, ICEA S-75-381/NEMA WC 58, ICEA S-95-658/NEMA WC 70, ASTM B33, B172. The cable is oil-resistant, and sunlight-resistant in both wet and dry conditions, and it is rated and flexible at temperatures ranging from -40ºC to +90°C.
